The 5 senses

We are doing a little mini unit on the 5 senses.  Each day we focused on a sense and did little activities for each.  We had fun all of the days, but the day of sight was my favorite.  I made up a scavenger hunt list before we took a picnic lunch to Botanic Gardens.  Then we checked off the list all the things we saw....here are just a few of the things on the list:
 Something round....
 something that moves...
 something taller than Peter...
 something smaller than Justin's hand...
Something that a bird would like...
Something you can see through (water)...
 Something cool (our shadow)...
Just a silly pic that I love.  :)
The week ended with smell and we took a field trip to the mall to smell the candles.  :)  Hehe.  I just love these boys.  They were so into it.
We praise the Lord for giving our bodies 5 different senses to discover how great He is and how much He loves us!

Welcome, Bryce!

That's him!  My very first nephew!  Little Bryce was brought into this world on January 24 at 10:21 pm.  He weighed a healthy  8 pounds, 6 ounces to blessed parents Courtney and Marty. We left after church on Sunday and drove down to Houston to snuggle with this newest member of the family.
We walked in to see him and Justin just keep chirping, "he's so cute!"  I love how Jane just wants to reach down and play with him like one of her baby dolls.
 Nana and her babies.  :)
Peter walked into the room and said proudly, "Don't worry, I know what to do!"  He went and bent down next to his cousin and posed for a pic.  That's my boy.
So wonderful to have family together! Bryce's mamma Courtney, her mamma Nancy and her mamma-in-law Marillas.

Hehe!  He is so cute I just wanted to hold him all night....
Aaaw!  We praise the Lord for this precious little life that He has entrusted to Marty and Courtney.  We look forward to many birthdays, trips to the park, and hugs with Bryce.  What a privilege it was to witness the miracle of a new baby.  Thank you Lord for answering our prayers of so many years!
