Our newest thing...

Our newest thing now is climbing - on EVERYTHING! He climbs onto the couch (first by standing on his bike), onto my parents' fireplace, onto his toys, and just about anything else he thinks will hold his weight. This is a little stool that one of my mom's friends made for Peter and he knew just what to do with it. :) Hmmm...this looks like fun...
Up we go!
Almost there!
Ta-da! Look at me Mom!
Peter is also learning how to play more and more. He loves this little bus. He didn't want me to play with him because I kept trying to put the people in from the top of the bus and he wanted the people to go through the DOOR to get in the bus. My bad. :) I don't know where he learned the laws of society; doors are the only acceptable means of entering public transportation. :)

Zoo!

It was my friend, Laura's birthday on the 30th. To celebrate, my friends Wendy and Emily had the great idea of going to the zoo! We brought all the kiddos and Brent and Jeff (Laura's hubby) to see the animals. We had such a great time! Here are the mommies left to right:Wendy, Keri, Laura, and Emily.
Peter loved to look at all the animals - to the point it was hard to get him to turn away and look at the camera for a picture. He really liked this rhino and the elephants.
We brought the wagon that Grandma and Papa Jon gave Peter for his birthday. Peter rode in it the whole time and the other boys took turns riding with him - it was so sweet!
The Fort Worth zoo is really very beautiful. There are many little spots like this one that are perfect for photo ops.
Flamingos!

This is the gorilla place. The silver back was huge!
Peter is just like his mama in that he loved the reptile house! It was neat when the reptiles were camping out by the glass like this one was.
Yeah, just try to get four busy little boys to pose for a pic! :)Peter, Lawson, Eric, and Jaxon
What a cool family portrait! This was Peter's first time at the zoo and he had a great time! What a blessed day it was to spend time with our friends and to talk about God's creativity as we observed His handy work. If His creation is this beautiful and grand, how much more beautiful and grand must the Creator be?!

ADVENTURE!

So this is a HUGE post...sorry! Brent went down to Mexico this past week on a mission trip-he will have to blog about that later....so Peter and I took the opportunity to go down and visit all the family in Houston. First, we stopped off and saw my sister in College Station (Actually I think it is Bryan...) then to my parent's house, then to Brent's parents. Here are some pics of our adventures. I wish I could have posted them all, but I didn't want to overload the blog. Enjoy!
We took walks each night with Jessica and Andrew to a park that is behind her apartment. We had a great time playing with Harvey (her dog) and playing in the sprinklers. :)
I left Jessica's apartment on Sunday morning and then drove to Huntsville to visit the church that Brent and I were married in. :) Afterwards we ate lunch at the Wendy's where Brent proposed - what a treat for our son to see where it all started. :)
My parents took us to the Musuem of Natural Science! I am such a science geek! We had a great time looking at all the dinosaurs, fossils, and many other exhibits.

There was a traveling exhibit of geodes which was soooo cool! Look how big this one is in comparison to my parents and Peter. The next day we went to Galveston to play at the beach. Peter had fun until he belly flopped into the salt water face first. After that he didn't care much for the water, but loved the sand and shells. I love this pic - it is as if he is posing and showing off his buff bod. :)Sea gulls were amazing to see!We also rode the Ferry and got to feed the birds.

Then we were off to visist Brent's parents. We got to go and see Aunt Courtney were she works at the Bobbi Brown counter at Saks Fifth Avenue. We had a great time seeing where she works - especially me because Courtney did my make up for me! :) It looked great! The sunsets over the lake at their house were so pretty and we had fun letting Peter roam around and explore.Peter and Nana. :)
Nana took Peter swimming too! How refreshing!

We also got to have dinner with GG Marillas. It is so nice to get together with the ones we love.

So, all in all it was a great trip! But Peter sure was glad to hug his daddy again.....
